Exhibition "The world of art" was opened on the 18 of August at 15:00 at the Sochi Art Museum named after D.D. Zhilinsky. The exhibition presented works of 18 Russian artists working in different genres. The artists include both eminent, recognized masters and young authors.
The project is called "The World of Art", since it is thematically connected with what constantly surrounds artists in their professional everyday life. This is the world of workshops, productions, models, plaster copies and draperies - everything that, by definition, becomes an object of study for painters, and for young artists, often initially an educational task, sometimes outgrows this task - as a result, a real work of art is born. Actually, this is the main goal of the project - to study how something conventional turns into genuine. For example, drapery in a still life - basically such an object can be seen in educational productions to highlight the form and create contrast, which emphasizes its educational purpose. However, one can recall the wonderful still lifes of Paul Cezanne, in which drapery is used to create a complete pictorial image - to formulate an interesting plastic solution.
