how i became artist
I was born in Moscow but grew up in Helsinki, Finland, where my father worked. I have loved to draw since childhood. The craving for painting strengthened in me when Vovva Morozov, my stepfather, appeared in our family. He was an artist and I spent a lot of time in his studio and at exhibitions. I liked it very much. My stepfather offered to teach me drawing more than once, but I put it off: then I was more interested in science. Soon he died in a car accident, it was a great tragedy and affected me a lot. Later, I was very sorry that I missed the unique opportunity to learn from the master.

My independent movement towards painting began with leaving my job: I quit after several years of practical psychology, not knowing what I would do next. But my hands reached for the brush themselves - I began to paint fabric, clothes, ceramics, glass. This passion resulted in a successful online store where my works of applied art were sold. I participated in decorative exhibitions, recorded TV programs with my products, published articles in specialized magazines. However, after a few years, I felt that I was narrowly within these limits, I wanted further development.

Once the outlines of an unknown face spontaneously appeared in my head, it literally pursued me and asked to be painted on a canvas. I painted the portrait "The redheaded (Kendra Ave)", it turned out to be unusual. Then my friend inspired me and I painted her portrait too. Many people highly appreciated my first works, and I myself liked the process of creating and fully immersing myself in the painting. I felt that it was mine, I wanted to take painting seriously.

I studied in the studio of the remarkable Moscow artist Dima Plotnikov for several years. And then I graduated the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. Today I am the member of "TSHR" and the participant of numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad. My works are in the collection of the Municipal Assembly of Bauska (Latvia), Astrakhan Art Gallery named after P.M. Dogadin, House-Museum of B. Kustodiev, as well as private collections in Russia, Europe and China.

аrt critics about my works
Liubov Nova is an artist-philosopher, a researcher of the interconnections of the world through art. Her works are distinguished not only by her own manner and style, but also by the desire to know something more through the beauty, atmosphere of the work, through her own view of nature and the impression made on the viewer. The mood of Liubov Nova's paintings is happy and festive. Whether it is a snowy winter or a conceptual still life, in all works one can feel the desire to delight. The young artist has already developed her recognizable style. In general, the work of Liubov Nova combines the desire to reflect a bright, perhaps paradoxical idea, a bold experiment and a kind appeal to the viewer.
А. Zagryazhskaya
There is a "lightness of being", unbearable and beautiful, and also admiring the details and turning the details into a wise and unobtrusive generalization, almost a formula, in the works of L. Nova. The author is not attached to the certainty of associations and styles. The viewer is invited to guess and think.
R. Zaharova
Bright, coloristically rich painting, a variety of techniques and genres. Fine graphics and wonderful miniatures. The author has a sense of color and a sense of composition, a desire to present the depicted objects in an unusual and unconventional way. Talented, diverse, with a real sense of color, the artist who is always in search!"
О. Petrova
The paintings of Liubov Nova are distinguished by freshness of perception, freedom of a bright palette, lively and bold performance. This is the search for a young talented author, and in her works everything speaks of this - youth and talent. The general mood of her paintings is joyful and happy, the artist seeks, experiments, discovers something new, affirms and enjoys creativity.
